Dr. Roy is currently Vice President, Science and Clinical Governance, at the National Institute of Excellence in Health and Social Services (INESSS). INESSS's mission is to promote clinical excellence and the efficient use of resources in the health and social services sector. Dr. Roy is a medical specialist in public health.
His professional background includes a series of senior positions in the health sector, including Vice President, Scientific Affairs at the Quebec National Institute of Public Health and Director of Information Management and Knowledge at the Agency of Health and Social Services of Montérégie.
Dr. Roy holds a medical degree from Laval University, a master's degree in public health from the University of California at Berkeley, and a master's degree in epidemiology and a certificate in community health from McGill University. He also holds a Harkness Associate Scholarship on Health Care Policy administered by the Commonwealth Fund.
Dr. Roy is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Social and Preventive Medicine Department at the University of Montreal. In addition, he is an associate professor at the Medicine and Health Sciences Faculty at the University of Sherbrooke and an assistant professor at McGill University.
