Jean-Louis Denis (Principal Investigator), Aude Motulsky, Catherine Régis and six other researchers have received a grant of close to $500,000 from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research to support their work on learning health systems and the conditions for implementing innovation in health systems. The project, titled “Academic Health Centers in Canada: Prospects and Challenges for Learning Health Systems,” will take place over a four-year period. It is an interdisciplinary research project that will include an empirical research component within various health care facilities in Canada. Learning health systems, considered to be the health systems of the future, pose many social, legal and technical challenges that must be explored.
